Welcome to Rotary Kungsbacka Särö

My name is Björn Malmström, and I have the honor of serving as President of Rotary Kungsbacka Särö for the current year.

Rotary is one of the world’s largest and most respected professional networks. Founded in Chicago by Paul Harris, Rotary continues its long tradition of bringing people together to make a positive impact locally and globally. Rotary’s international projects include significant contributions to the worldwide effort to eradicate polio.

Our club has 27 members and meets every Friday at Restaurant Storgatan 1 in Kungsbacka. We gather for lunch at 11:30 AM, followed by a short meeting and a guest speaker presenting on relevant and engaging topics.

For many years, Rotary Kungsbacka Särö has been an active supporter of stroke research and is a co-founder of StrokeInVest.

Rotary offers opportunities to:

·        Build meaningful professional and personal connections.

·        Visit clubs worldwide and participate in international exchanges.

·        Provide youth with the chance to study abroad.

·        Join fellowship groups based on shared interests.

Priorities for this year include:

1.     Welcoming new senior members to our club.

2.     Presenting the and sponsoring the Rotary ShelterBox initiative, highlighting our rapid response efforts in humanitarian crises.

3.     Strengthening our communication through an updated website and an active presence on social media.

4.     Continue our work to strengthen knowledge about and around Stroke.

Kungsbacka is home to two Rotary clubs: Rotary Kungsbacka-Särö and our sister club, Kungsbacka City.

We look forward to welcoming guests and new members.
